Publishing Standard
Academia Publishing production offers the gold standard in article production, assuring authors of a consistently high quality service across all areas. We are accredited to provide standardized framework for the processes by which high-quality products are created and service given, to the satisfaction of all customers. Academia Publisher aims to demonstrate to societies, editors, authors, and students that there is a robust methodology in place for the management of quality in relation to its operational processes.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHORS
Please read and follow these instructions carefully; doing so will ensure that the publication of your manuscript is as rapid and efficient as possible. The Publisher reserves the right to return manuscripts that are not prepared in accordance with these instructions.
Submission of Manuscripts
Authors should submit manuscript via e-mail attachment to the Editorial Office and a manuscript number will be mailed to the corresponding author within 48 hours. Please consult the journal’s home page for more information.
Permissions
It is a condition of publication that authors grant an exclusive license to Academia Publisher or the society of ownership. This ensures that requests from third parties to reproduce articles are handled efficiently and consistently, and will also allow the article to be as widely disseminated as possible. In assigning copyright, authors may use their own material in other publications, provided that the journal is acknowledged as the original place of publication.
Author’s Integrity
Work submitted for publication must be original, previously unpublished, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere. If previously published figures, tables, or parts of text are to be included, the copyright-holder’s permission must have been obtained prior to submission.
Preparation of the Manuscript
General: Papers must be clearly written in English. If you would like additional help with the quality of your written English, including grammar, spellings, and language usage, please see Instructions for Authors for submission to journal and reference style. View a full list of Journals.
Tables should be kept to a minimum and be designed to be as simple as possible. Each table should be on a separate page, numbered consecutively in Arabic numerals and supplied with a heading and a legend if any. Tables should be self-explanatory without reference to the text. The details of the methods used in the experiments should preferably be described in the legend instead of in the text. The same data should not be presented in both table and graph form or repeated in the text.
Figure legends should be typed in numerical order on a separate sheet. Graphics should be prepared using applications capable of generating high resolution GIF, TIFF, JPEG or PowerPoint before pasting in the Microsoft Word manuscript file. Tables should be prepared in Microsoft Word. Use Arabic numerals to designate figures and upper case letters for their parts (Figure 1). Begin each legend with a title and include sufficient description so that the figure is understandable without reading the text of the manuscript. Information given in legends should not be repeated in the text.
Abbreviations may be added. In common, non-standard abbreviations should be used only when the full term is very long and used often. Each abbreviation should be spelled out and introduced in parentheses the first time it is used in the text. Only recommended SI units should be used. Authors should use the solidus presentation (mg/ml). Standard abbreviations (such as ATP and DNA) need not be defined.
References: In the text, a reference identified by means of an author‘s name should be followed by the date of the reference in parentheses. When there are more than two authors, only the first author‘s name should be mentioned, followed by ’et al‘. In the event that an author cited has had two or more works published during the same year, the reference, both in the text and in the reference list, should be identified by a lower case letter like ’a‘ and ’b‘ after the date to distinguish the works.
Proofs
All manuscripts will undergo some editorial modification, so it is important to check proofs carefully. PDF page proofs will be sent via e-mail to the corresponding author for checking. To avoid delays in publication, proofs should be checked and returned within 48 hours. Corrections should be returned by annotated PDF via e-mail. Extensive changes to the text may be charged to the author.
Post-production corrections
Corrections are made if the publication record is seriously affected by the academic accuracy of published information. Where these amendments concern peer-reviewed material, the correction will be published as a formal notice (erratum) in a subsequent issue.
Advance Access constitutes definitive publication and is not subject to informal changes. If a very significant error (as outlined above) is discovered after publication of an Advance Access article, which necessitates correction to the online version, a new version will be published online with a footnote to outline the changes made. Both versions will be available online. (Authors publishing in journals that use the ‘accepted manuscript’ model of Advance Access will have the opportunity to make changes at proof stage as normal.)
Authors’ corrections to Supplementary Data are made only in exceptional circumstances (for example major errors that compromise the conclusion of the study). Because the Supplementary Data is part of the original paper and hence the published record, the information cannot be updated if new data have become available or interpretations have changed.
Offprints
The corresponding author for all articles will automatically receive a free link to the full text of their article. Corresponding authors may also purchase offprints. Please contact journal editor for complete ordering and pricing information.
